Get your character sheets and arcade sticks ready, as “The Geek Show” is back for GAME NIGHT!
Conceived by producers Thomas Paras and Marc Abrigo in 2007, “The Geek Show” is a theatrical love letter and pointed critique on contemporary geek culture, having been featured at SF Sketchfest as well as winning 2018’s “Shortlived VII” the nation’s largest, audience-judged short play competition, hosted by PianoFight theater.
This year, the “Geek Show” troupe returns to the Bindlestiff stage to bring their uniquely nerdy brand of sketch comedy and scripted drama into the world of gaming -- exploring identity, destiny, love, and loss from a gamer’s perspective. From board games and video games, to MMO’s and tabletop role-playing games, the Geeks aim to leave no stone unturned and no die unrolled in their exploration of a world typically lost to the most difficult game of all: growing up.
“The Geek Show: Game Night” will be having its nine-performance run at Bindlestiff Studio from April 11-27, with shows every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at 8pm.
